New Labour party President Danny Sikana has said he is no longer a member of the alliance of the political parties because his participation in politics is based on principles and not what he get out of an arrangement.
Sikana said he does not subscribe to politics of emotional blackmail of wanting a tribe to rule Zambia but would love a patriotic and knowledgeable citizen to govern.
In a press release he stated that he find the ideas base in the alliance to be to narrow and that Slogans will not solve Zambia’s problems and we must learn from the past.
MMD came with “The Hour Has Come “, did it arrive? PF came with “More Money In The Pocket “, do we have the money in our pockets? UPND is saying “Bally Will Fix It”, what can he fix when he never saw the state of the real economy of Zambia because he was in the village at the time.” He said.
He further said that this country and it’s people has suffered alot at the hands of thieves and needs a fresh start.
“People who stole workers terminal benefits during privatisation of parastatal assets can now claim to be saviours when they have not even apologised for the death trail and trauma they committed in the past due their theft.” He said.
