Constitution court lawyer John Sangwa disappointed with Health Minister’s conduct at court premises.

John Sangwa expressed concern that In all his years of practice as a lawyer, and appearances at court, he have never seen such a brazen display of utter unruliness, disrespect and contempt of court by the health minister.

He said that people of Zambia are no longer governed by laws, but by lawless men determined to have their way and getaway at whatever cost.

Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya yesterday failed to take plea in a case where he is alleged to be in possession of properties suspected to be proceeds of crime, due to confusion caused by a horde of PF cadres.

Chief Resident Magistrate Lameck Mwale adjourned the matter to July 16 after the PF cadres attempted to force their way into the courtroom where the proceedings were to take place.

After his case was called when the matter came up before magistrate Mwale around 09:00 hours.

And rising on a point order, leader of opposition Jack mwimbu has questioned the minister of health for misconduct and not following the guidelines given by the president and himself for public gatherings for more than 50 people at court premises yesterday.

It is alleged that many people, cadres and ministers had gathered at magistrate court to give solidarity to the health minister for corruption allegations.
